This is the one bit of French that I will always know.
It just occurred to me how awesome the title of the new Worlds’ Finest comic is. It’s not “World’s Finest” with the apostrophe before the “s” like in previous incarnations when the book started Superman, Batman, and Robin. It’s “Worlds’ Finest” with the apostrophe after the “s,” which makes world plural possessive in order to make the bold claim that Power Girl and Huntress are not simply the world’s finest super heroes, but rather the finest of all worlds’.
Way to fuckin’ use an apostrophe, DC Comics. AWESOME.
(Also, I realize that this is not actually a grammar thing, but rather a mechanics issue. Mechanicsgasm didn’t seem like a catchy title for a blog post though.)
See those symbols on the bookshelf signs? The Pokémon world seems to have it’s own written language(s). I’ve never seen any info on that though. Is there a translation chart out there somewhere? Is it based on the Japanese syllabary like Hylian from Zelda?
